Performance Validity: The Ethics of Assessment Accuracy (Part 2)

Ethics CPD-accredited online mini course, FREE to members of Neuropsychology SA

As a psychologist, you are ethically obligated to report suspicions of inaccurate test data, such as when an examinee applies insufficient effort or deliberately malingers. Are you aware of the NEW guidelines regarding the neuropsychological assessment of effort, response bias and malingering?

Participate in these online mini courses and empower yourself with the knowledge. There are three parts to this course. You are recommended to do all three parts but may do only one or two parts, if preferred. Earn 3 CPD points in ethics for each part (Accreditation numbers: PSB002/207/01/2023; PSB002/208/01/2023 and PSB002/209/01/2023).

This is Part 2 of the three-part CPD activity. It is recommended that participants do all three parts to get a better perspective on the topic of performance validity.

To participate in this CPD-accredited activity, you need to:
1) Read the article, "American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN) 2021 consensus statement on validity assessment: Update of the 2009 AACN consensus conference statement on neuropsychological assessment of effort, response bias, and malingering" by Sweet et al. (2021)
2) Answer the multiple-choice questions below based on page 1069 - 1080
3) Submit your answers before 30 November 2023
