As a psychologist, you are ethically obligated to report suspicions of inaccurate test data, such as when an examinee applies insufficient effort or deliberately malingers. Are you aware of the NEW guidelines regarding the neuropsychological assessment of effort, response bias and malingering?
Participate in these online mini courses and empower yourself with the knowledge. There are three parts to this course. You are recommended to do all three parts but may do only one or two parts, if preferred. Earn 3 CPD points in ethics for each part (Accreditation numbers: PSB002/207/01/2023; PSB002/208/01/2023 and PSB002/209/01/2023).
To participate in this CPD-accredited activity, you need to:
1) Read the article, "American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology (AACN) 2021 consensus statement on validity assessment: Update of the 2009 AACN consensus conference statement on neuropsychological assessment of effort, response bias, and malingering" by Sweet et al. (2021)
2) Answer the multiple-choice questions below based on page 1069 - 1080
3) Submit your answers before 30 November 2023
4) Achieve at least 80% (if you have submitted your answers and score less than 80%, you may review your and resubmit)
